If you're subscribed to a Team Plan and would like your users to have easy access to custom templates when creating new projects, this text will show you how to accomplish that. This is only relevant to the administrators of Team Plan group accounts. Your templates are Explain Everything projects you prepare, that then becomes accessible to users in your group from a template picker. There are two steps:
Step 1 - Preparation
Make sure to upload projects that you want to use as a template to Explain Drive using your admin account. In the project permissions, make them accessible to all of your users.
Step 2 - Request templates
Notify a support agent either on live chat or by sending us an email and provide your user details plus the list of project names uploaded to Explain Drive in the first step. If you want to arrange those projects in a specific order, make sure to mention that too. The Premium Support team will then configure the service for you and make your projects accessible as templates for your team.
Tips for template creators
When designing templates you might like to:
- Be cautious with project size, the smaller the better! You can check the size of your project by tapping on the project screen to reveal the details. The file size is listed there.
- If you would like to set a background, use the Inspector Tool. This will make your users work easier as that way background won't attach to stacked objects when groups are formed. Also, the background will remain stationary if the user pans around with the Zoom Tool.
