Backing up projects can help you easily access all your Explain Everything files (in .explain format) while changing or restoring a system or a device, deploying a LMS, and in many different cases. Keeping your projects in cloud storage gives you also an opportunity to reach them from any device when online. Learn how you can back up your projects in Explain Everything.
To make sure that your projects are not just saved locally but also backed up, turn the iCloud Backup option on your iPad.
- Go to your Apple account settings.
- Select the iCloud tab.
- Enable Explain Everything.
- Go to the iCloud Backup tab.
- Enable iCloud Backup option.
Note Remember that the automatic backup takes place in the night and it requires power connection as well as a Wi-Fi network.

To make sure that any project you save locally is automatically saved in Google Drive too, enable it in the application Settings.
- Go to Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Go to the AUTO-BACKUP category under the General tab.
- Enable or disable “Google Drive” option.

All projects created in the web version of Explain Everything are cloud ones and therefore they’re kept in the Explain Drive cloud. They’re saved in there automatically while you’re working on them.
